NCR Counterpoint Mobile now supports the Ingenico Link/2500 payment terminal.
Before you can begin using CPMobile to process EMV card transactions, you must sign up for NCR Secure Pay and configure NCR Counterpoint to use NCR Secure Pay. You must also configure your network to allow the necessary outbound traffic to NCR Secure Pay servers.
Only a single payment terminal can be configured for use with each CPMobile device.
To configure an Ingenico Link/2500 payment terminal for use with CPMobile, follow these steps:
1.From the CPMobile main menu, tap the to display the Settings screen.
2.Tap EMV Device Configuration under Payment Device.
3.Select Ingenico UPP (Link) from the DEVICE TYPE picker.
4.Select IP from the CONNECTION TYPE picker.
The IP option is the only valid connection type for the Link/2500.
5.Tap the IP ADDRESS/HOSTNAME field and enter the device IP address.
The CPMobile device and the Link/2500 payment terminal must be on the same network or able to communicate with each other. The payment terminal’s IP address can be assigned via DHCP (Dynamic IP assignment) or static IP assignment. Refer to the Link/2500 payment terminal documentation for more information about configuring IP address.
6.Tap the IP PORT field and enter the port number used to communicate with the device.
7.Tap the Save button to save your changes. This triggers a device load with the EMV parameters that have been defined for your store on the Secure Pay Settlement portal. This process will take approximately 30 seconds and the payment terminal may restart.
